What We Do

Artfulu offers art presentations and art education opportunities

Through presentations, classes, birthdays, special events and workshops throughout the Twin Cities area, students of all ages explore art making as a visual language while focusing on the creative process. Through the education of process we foster an understanding and love of all arts and the vital role they play in our community.

Art is for everyone! Artfulu teaches students young and old, to embrace the process of “creating,” to be inventive in the techniques used and to remain open to unexpected possibilities.

Emily L. Taylor, founder of Artfulu, is an Artist/Children’s Book Illustrator, teacher and mother of two.
She has taught students of all ages and ability levels ranging from 12 months to adult. Her passion for teaching stems from the belief that art should be taught in a way that makes it approachable to students of all learning styles and abilities. “When we allow ourselves to explore materials and our environments without expectations we open our minds to it’s vast potential.” Our focus is on the play of art, and giving people young and old, the opportunity to express themselves through 2-D and 3-D media.

Emily is card workshopa member of SCBWI and was honored to receive the 2015-2016 MN SCBWI mentorship award!
